Area Attractions

Frankly, we can't see any reason to look outside Mockville for something to do, but if you feel adventurous and want to explore the area, there are lots of things to see and do!

  • Lake Paho... less than 10 minutes from the ranch, the lake is a fisherman's dream. Picnicing, bass and walleye fishing are just some of the features of the lake. Trolling motors are allowed on the lake, but no swimming or powerboats are permitted.

  • Mercer County Fair... a real country fair, with rides and livestock exhibits, ice cream social and family entertainment. Early July.

  • Jamesport... a showcase for our local Amish and Menonite communities, Jamesport offers antiquing, handcrafted gifts, authentic food and the warmth of the Amish people.

  • Mercer Homecoming... the Labor Day weekend event! Parades, live entertainment and rides, tractor pulls and even a demolition derby! And most of all, a chance to meet and renew friendships year after year.

  • Calamity Jane Days... Princeton is the birthplace of Calamity Jane and C.J. Days celebrates our western heritage. Parades, ice cream social, live entertainment, beer garden and melodramas make for a full weekend!

  • Antique Hunting... in the area's many antique nooks and shops.

We'll be happy to help you plan your visit to make the most of these and other local attractions!
